Ever since an adolescent, Joyce Flores has breathed, ate and slept football. Her spirit became pitch perfect on the field, where tones that other people felt dissonant were transformed into a banging beat. As a child of a Flores it was embedded into her blood. Though as puberty kicked in, setting her apart from her four brothers, Joyce's dreams altered. She revelled in the pure escapism of cinema, engrossed in other worlds where anything is possible. Yet, at home, she still lived in the vain shadows of her siblings.
So she escapes it all, starts over, abroad. London's beloved books a year long ticket to Los Angeles, California to chase her dreams at USC. Little did she know, football was the Jerry to her Tom. So, she gives in, to pass time of course, and joins the passionate team of women soccer players─totally not expecting to see Korbin Collier of all people in the stands.
The upcoming soccer prodigy admired all there was to football. He didn't care if it was women's or men, watching and feeling the control of the ball unite with his feet in a synchronised dance brought him an unmatched joy. So, when he notices jersey #9 no longer attached to a blonde, pale woman and instead to the bronzy, tanned skin of a smiley brunette, well, he's intrigued. Not so much to where he goes out of his way to converse with her─but enough that his attentive nature notices her around.
What he didn't expect to come out of the year was a brewing game between the girls and the boys. But when his sexist teammate resonates his unwanted opinion, Joyce and Cindy challenge the captain to a "friendly" match, and who is Korbin to turn down a challenge. All Rights Reserved
