There are times when civilization is tested to its limits. How far are you willing to go for your country? Will you kill for your country? Will you die for your country? Can you give up your life for the 'greater good'? These questions surge upon war crises and instigate the population to be heroic. The 22 year old scouser Henry David Schneider was asked these same questions when the second world war broke out in august 1939.

Single, intelligent, strong willed and patriotic, Schneider enlists himself to fight Nazi Germany without a doubt on his mind. But there is only one thing that is grater than heroism and patriotism. Love.

This journey is no ordinary love story. Experiencing friendships, hardships, love, lust, loss, this is a story about people doing their absolute most to enjoy their short time on earth, but who were just unlucky enough to be born within a war century. Shining like sunbeam through cloudy skies, Margaret Rosewood Dickens (Rose) and Henry David Schneider develop their story in the unfortunate backdrop of a World War 2 England.
