Just about anything can happen in Rivervale, but that doesn't mean anyone expects to wake up in the woods, bound and gagged next to the corpse of their mutilated boyfriend. Betty Cooper certainly didn't. Now, her world has been turned upside down with her own FBI case and the desperate search for justice for Archie Andrews, but with the town's collective decision to forget the fact that the boy next door ever existed at all and the gaps in her memory that shroud the truth, Betty can't help but wonder if this was one person's doing or something much more sinister.
Or, a Rivervale rewrite, because in every universe, Betty and Archie have nothing but love for each other.

They were all disappointed in her. Yes, they didn't care if she was lesbian or not, but all left after this nasty rumor. Her home life was no better. Her father abused her. Her mother keeps forcing her to take pills. Her sister never visits, and she's left all alone. She turned to cutting herself and starving herself. It's not like anybody would care; she always tells herself. She cries or cuts herself to sleep every night. Or maybe even both. What happens when a mysterious raven-haired princess comes to town. Will she help Betty recover? Or will she be mean and ruin her life like everybody else, and maybe push her over the edge? How will things turn out for Betty? *** "I've just... given up," I said. "What is going on with you?" she practically yelled. I looked at her and shrugged. "Seriously, Juggie. You're so damn confusing. One minute you act like you hate me the next you are defending me and acting like you love me. You make no sense" she ranted. She glared at me and I chuckled. "I love it when you call me Juggie. It's hot" I said and she continued to glare at me in silence. "I didn't know what I wanted before. I do now" I said casually. "Really? And what is that?" She fumed. "You, baby." I smirked. Betty moved away years ago when her parents divorced. Her mother wanted a fresh start in New York. Everyone promised to keep in touch but, of course, they didn't. Only her cousin. Cheryl stuck by Betty. Betty survived though. She made new friends and her mother remarried making Veronica her sister and best friend. Jughead was broken when Betty left. Losing her changed him. As the years wore on, he became darker and cruel. He joined his Dad in the Serpents and truly loved the gang lifestyle. Archie felt hollow since Betty left. He distracted himself with football and girls and had earned himself quite a reputation. Betty and Veronica became best friends while they're mothers dated. They both embraced the New York party lifestyle. Betty changed from a sweet, quiet girl to a bit of a wild child but kept her heart of gold. That is, until Betty and Veronica move to Riverdale with their mothers. Jughead and Archie are shocked to see Betty again. One of them view her as a challenge, the other as prey. Betty has other ideas though. Language warning and maybe some violence and dark material.Complete

"So you were just going to run away with her and leaving me standing at the alter like a fool?" 10 years have passed and both Betty and Archie are healing from a betrayal, trying to heal the broken hearts that Veronica and Jughead broke only to find love with other people but what happens when Jughead and Veronica come back trying to win back their love.
