In the Kingdom of Evora, there is nowhere to hide. Once the people find out what you can do, you are sentenced to death.
This is the sad reality for Maya Brekken. One slip up leads to her being burned on a post in the middle of town square. Once they saw that she could change, they condemned her.
She had thought that she was doomed until she is pulled from the flames and whisked away to a place that she never knew existed. There, she must learn how to use her shapeshifting ability to save everyone around her. To save her friends and family, she has to do things that she never would have considered otherwise.
Maya must lie, betray, and hide her feelings in this new world of fantasy and romance that she is thrown into, otherwise the people around her will perish.
