You never know when the world will end. When you'll find your life being flipped upside down. It could be on your wedding night, at a party, or even after school. For me, it happened on an average Tuesday. I woke up, went to school, walked home in eerie silence with only the sound of my footsteps crunching through the fallen leaves. The lack of forest activity probably should have been my wake up call. After all, I've lived and hunted in these very woods since I could walk. Unfortunately, the sinking realization that something had gone horribly wrong didn't sink in until I was approaching the door to our run down shack of a house.
The door was wide open and practically hanging from the rusted hinges. Splintered wood and shattered glass rests across the floor. What the fuck happened?
