Summary: Elaina was recruited by TF:141 as their permanent onsite medic. She slowly gets to know the team, except for one. Simon "Ghost" Riley. The mysterious and dangerous masked soldier who barely speaks to her. She feels he doesn't like or trust her and she has no idea why. Yet Elaina wishes he would let her get to know him just a little, after all her contract is for at least three years. After assisting Price with yearly qualifications for the team, things start shifting between Simon and Elaina. When her past threatens to intrude on her present Simon becomes her shield.
Author's Note: Okay, so I have only just started getting into this fandom. (Hey, blame the COD cosplayers that have begun flooding my TikTok courtesy of BookTok. LOL. I have read up a bit on Ghost and have read a few fanfics, so I'm giving it a shot. Please be gentle. Also, I should mention I have never played COD, but have heard of it.
Author's Note 2: This has some things from the games, characters too. I will be including the betrayal by Sheperd and Graves, but in my story, Soap wasn't killed. Just letting the readers know, and please no backlash or comments as I will delete them. This is fan fiction not cannon. Having said that, if the characters seem out of character I'm sorry but this is how they came out as I wrote this. Again, no backlash or rude comments. If you don't like it then don't read the story.
