Synopsis:

Believe me, I didn't ask to be a hero. If I were a normal person, or had a normal teacher, or just wasn't so annoyingly curious, I wouldn't be in this situation. Of course, if so, I wouldn't have had new experiences, made new friends and reformed a family unit. The government has made me swear to not reveal any of this to anybody, but anyway, I think the secret needs to get out. I don't care if I get captured or punished, but the public must know the truth. Take this for light fiction if you want; dismiss my story as a fake and brand me a lunatic. However, to those who will listen, ask yourself: How many lies is the government keeping? Where did life on Earth begin? And last but not least: Are we really alone in this universe?

"If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn't turn out well for the Native Americans...... We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet."

(Stephen Hawking)

Adrian, an ordinary school kid, finds his life irrevocably transformed by the arrival of an enchanted and enigmatic asteroid. What ensues is a heart-pounding odyssey into a world he could never have fathomed. Join us as we journey into a realm where pages dissolve into vivid images and reality blurs with imagination. Prepare for an electrifying and unputdownable experience. Will Adrian face oblivion, or will he conquer the extraordinary challenges that lie ahead, emerging not only alive but stronger than ever?

Empire. At the end only Empire remains. No matter how many times you rebel Empire remains. No matter how many times you fight for your democratic Empire remains. Now bend for your emperorr. Welcome readers to my fantasy world. I have brought you something beyond the constraints of my imagination, and I wonder if many are ready for it; however, a good story must be told, and I am fortunate to be the one to tell it. Imagine a world where the vile nature of mankind creeps its ugly head as humanity faces its first and last major catastrophe. The world plunged into everlasting darkness, entrenched in chaos and disorder, where hope is a distant flitting memory. The story I propose to my fellow readers follows Anthony Verdun, who was only a boy when all he knew was taken from him in an instant. Like many others, on that day, those who survived lost a part of themselves, forever scarred by the family, friends, and loved ones they lost. Their lives changed forever; how could it not? I welcome you to join the world I have created, indulge in this hypothetical, and dive into this what-if. What that is, well, you would have to read to find out. Weekly chapter uploads, so stay vigilant. Here is the link to the community discord, where we can discuss the book further. Max and the Universe - Book I by TheSpaceRings
23 parts Complete Mature
The multiverse theory states that there is a universe for every possible scenario, a number so large it's possibly infinite. Would that mean there's a universe where my book is real. 14 year old Max Carsley finds himself hanging in the delicate balance of being a normal teenager and learning how to rule a planet. He lives in a highly advanced interstellar civilization spanning light years, sharing it with 11 different intelligent bipedal humanoid alien species, including humans, with access to flying cars, wormhole portals, and the technology to traverse the stars. How can one find balance with this chaotic lifestyle? What are royalty really like behind closed doors? And most importantly... what secrets are the members of the galactic council hiding? Find out as Max, his family, and his friends discover things that not only lead him further down his path of fate, but help him discover more about himself and the universe. This is not your typical SciFi/Fantasy Novel. It's so much more. This story is a mix of teen drama and space politics. It's kind of a mess but like, so am I. Every chapter is important, so don't skip any! Is this book mature cause I like to swear? You be the judge. IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS IS A DRAFT!! THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION OF THIS BOOK!! THE FINAL VERSION WILL HOPEFULLY BE ON STORE SHELVES CAUSE THAT'D BE SO COOL!! (Final version will include whatever tweaks are necessary to have all 4 books sync perfectly)

Maxine is an 18-year-old girl who is bored and lonely, living in California in the year 2351. She's always been fascinated with how humans used to live in houses, drive cars, and the fact that there used to be forests and parks everywhere. Now, after a war that nearly erased humanity, people are forced to live a strict, dull, communist lifestyle. Everyone seems okay with this way of life. Everyone except Maxine. Maxine had always been special; she was often able to predict events. How? She didn't exactly know...yet. When she starts having dreams about a tropical island where people live as they did in the 21st century, she meets the man of her dreams: literally. Her new boiling emotions bring her to wonder...what if it's a real place? When she starts her search for the island and bumps into Elis-the man in her dreams-she suddenly knows it wasn't all just a making of her imagination. Finding that island could mean finding the answers to her burning questions, and maybe even answers to questions she didn't know she had. However, not everything is what she thought it would be when she finally finds the island, and her dreams become a harsh reality. Elis turns out to be someone else, and when another man swoops in every time Maxine is in danger, she becomes confused about what love really is. The Advisors, the ten women governing the world, want to assimilate the people of the island, not knowing that those people have an extreme advantage over them. Maxine also learns that her family has been lying to her about who she really is. Ultimately, when the Advisors come to destroy the island, she must face the fact that she is the key to the island's salvation, and embracing her rapidly developing abilities is the only way to do so.
