After being separated from his master, a little starling finds himself in unfamiliar waters. He is reluctant to recant the horrors of his life, but as a group of 9 free-folk rise up to challenge his master, he find that he must or he risks losing what ever freedom he found. As he joins their ranks, he forms friendships, breaks his silence, and discovers love.
