 SSA Arizona McGarrett receives a call from the Honolulu Police Department in Hawaii notifying her of the death of her father. Arizona takes the first flight out to Hawaii taking a few weeks off working to attend the funeral. 
Only to run into her older brother Steve, who informs her their father was murdered and he was staying in Hawaii running the Governor's task force going after who killed their father. 

The death of their father rocks Arizona's world leaving her questioning everything to the point she resigns from the BAU and takes off to try to figure things out. Leaving just a note for her brother and Uncle Rossi; Arizona dissapears for over a year before getting a lead on her where abouts in the last place they exspected she would be... Mexico

The thing disturbing to most of the team is the fact all the victims look similiar to someone they know. Hotch orders Reid to stay at the station because he's worried about te doctor. The unsub is one of the most difficult ones the team had to deal with so far, so after the team, excluding the young doctor, and most of the officers leave to arrest possible suspect, they find it was a fake call, they come back to devasted place, the officers that stayed behind all lying on the floor, not remembering anything that has happened since their colegues left, and of course everyone's worst fear came true, the unsub got Reid. Later two other bodies are found, one female and one male, neither of them being able to get identified, until the unsub is caught, when getting asked about the FBI agent's wherabouts only replies with "Thought you would find him by now" while having satisfied smirk on his face. No one can tell wheter the unsub is bluffing or not, and as much as the team wishes he was, while discovering the unsub's hideout they find some of his victims alive, their worst fear being confirmed.
