In Saileora, power hums beneath the soil, ancient and untamed. Seeker Wrain, princess and heir to a throne that feels more like a cage, has always sensed it, both around and inside her. But the whispers of that hidden force - the stirring of magic, the heartbeat of the land - have never explicitly belonged to her.

Until now.

When an impossible void tears through the quiet countryside, leaving her kingdom's fields in ruins and the skies heavy with shadows, Seeker is thrust into a world of secrets she never asked to inherit. The dragons - the ancient gods of her people - are no longer the benevolent protectors of legend. One of them, Ascklees, has risen from his grave, burning with a hatred that could ignite all of Saileora.

The land calls for heroes, but Seeker has never been one. Not the fierce warrior like her childhood friend Calix Clearbow, who walks in the light with unwavering bravery, nor the brilliant Dr. Rockbrow who seems to bend the world to her will. No, Seeker is something else entirely. A quiet storm, an unread book filled with power she does not yet understand.

But there are others like her. Other Omnicircies - rare wielders of all the Subcirces, whose power has the potential to shape the fate of kingdoms. And they are waiting, hidden among the peaks of Vidya, the shores of Blissia and Brashar, and the deserts of Sadya. Only together can they confront the gathering storm, but first, they must be found.

In The Dragon's Call, nothing is as it seems. Every smile hides a secret, every whisper holds a danger. Power calls to those who dare to listen, but power demands a price - one that not everyone will survive.

In a kingdom where legends shape beliefs and fears, an ancient prophecy whispers of the return of the Devourer, an entity capable of reducing one of the five kingdoms to ashes, spreading death and destruction across the world. Only the kingdom bearing the Morning Star could hope to appease this devastating force. This legend, long relegated to the tales of the White Temple, comes to life on a winter night when the full moon, at its zenith, illuminates the birth of a strange child. Astral, so named for his eyes that shine like stars, is found by Virion, the leader of an isolated village in the vast Nightblade Forest. Despite the villagers' distrust, who see him as a harbinger of doom, Astral is adopted by Virion, who refuses to abandon him to his fate. At the same time, in the light-drenched capital, a princess is born. Liana Heliore, named by her father, King Armand, is immediately recognized as the child of light, destined to guide the kingdom toward an era of peace and prosperity. A sacred pact is formed when a luminous raptor, transcending the boundaries of the material world, seals a mystical bond with the young princess. Thus begins the story of Astral and Liana, two children born under opposing stars, whose destinies are inextricably linked. While one bears the mark of darkness and storm, the other embodies the hope of a kingdom. Their lives, marked by mystical forces and ancient prophecies, intertwine to upend the balance of the world.

Cerys Woodstock, travelling outside of Tainland for the first time in her life, craves adventure and excitement. Tainish Legate Eupheme hosts elaborate parties as a guise to obtain valuable information about the agendas of other lands, to further her own political interests. Yarazhenya, a half Cassioni, half Petrovian candle maker with a penchance for day drinking, is thrilled when her niece arrives to learn about her business in Chevelles. Callira Evarrlie, Tainish spiritualist, linguist, and a close friend of the chancellor of Chevelles, wants to share her knowledge of language and culture with the world. Nobody knows what Witwatersrander Floren Cheshiring does or why he is in Cassion. These are some of the civilian foreigners in the small city of Chevelles, there to teach, to sell, to build, to travel or for other reasons. But their presence raises suspicions among native Cassioni, wary of their intentions and technology. And, as xenophobia increases, so too do acts of violence. Enter Wynemere Brackenridge, fresh from the green countryside of Elsa, new recruit in the marine protectorate forces, a pawn in the fight for Tainish expansion, who wonders if she'll be able to handle the challenges her new life is bringing her. And Gwinael Snowberry, whose her first posting as combattant involves long treks over the Cassioni mountains, skirmishes with angry locals, and attempts to reign in her daydreaming so she can follow orders. Will a mutual understanding across cultures be achieved or will tragedy befall natives and foreigners alike? It is the land of Cassion itself which has the answer, as well as it's own lessons to teach them all. After all, as the Cassioni saying goes: "We have much to learn." (Dear potential reader: This is a medievalesque military low fantasy, with little to no supernatural elements: would love to get some feedback :))
