Wooyoung and San got engaged about three years into their relationship. Wooyoung always knew san struggled mentally, but he didn't realize how much San was hiding since his dad got diagnosed with cancer a year before their engagement. A few months later his dad passed away and San left. He never came back, cutting off contact from everyone.
Wooyoung, being forced to live without him and move on after months of looking for his fiancée, went on without him. Not without mental struggles, of course.
Two years later, when san had finally figured his shit out, he came back.
