With the collapse of the democratic government and the rise of "The Saving Grace", a group of anarchists disguised as heroes, society is plunged into darkness, separated, and targeted. People with Superpowers are separated into four subsections.
Dawners: Born with their powers ready to use
Rares: People whose power is activated in moments of pure need
Sleepers: People whose powers are activated later in life
Sleepers become prey, targeted by the Saving Grace to create loyal soldiers through a serum which uses Sleeper Blood as the main ingredient.

"It's human nature. It's instinct to survive, no matter the cost." The world has fallen into desolation. He and his older sister lived together, sticking to the dark alleys of their abandoned city, and survived for years after the apocalypse, until the Destroyers came and took her away, reigning terror on the few who remained in the city. The boy, desperate to find someone to help him save his sister, leaves the city and finds one of the youngest cooperative packs in North America, called the Raiders, comprised of unwanted individuals with the strange powers left from the destruction of years past. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. Barry's life
Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
