"Vengeance," the enthralling fifth entry in the Darkness of Heaven saga, transports readers to El Auria, a town cloaked in the mystique of the old West, where shadows whisper of ancient secrets and dark forces lurk. In this setting, the intertwined destinies of Gibbins, Trish, and Zaryah take a dramatic turn, pushing them deeper into the heart of a conflict that spans the realms of mortals and the divine. The narrative kicks off with Gibbins, who has been enlisted by Father Bakah to uncover the fallen Mal'akh Adramelech's amulet. This artifact, shrouded in legend and power, is crucial to deciphering the dark mysteries enveloping El Auria and holds the potential to thwart the malevolent plans set in motion by forces beyond their comprehension. Simultaneously, the saga introduces Azrael and Maya, a couple bound by love and a shared mission to vanquish a malevolent Samurai ghost that has unleashed terror. Their journey is fraught with personal stakes, heightened by Maya's pregnancy, symbolizing a beacon of hope amidst the encroaching darkness. However, their path takes a tragic detour when Ashriel, a fallen Mal'akh driven by dark motives, brutally murders Maya. This act of violence ignites a relentless quest for vengeance that propels Azrael into a war against the legions of hell, pitting him against formidable foes such as Zuphlas, the Vampire God, and Og, the Nephilim King. The crescendo of "Vengeance" is reached in the climactic battle at the Temple of Souls, where Azrael confronts Ishtar. This confrontation is not merely a test of physical might but a profound examination of the nature of vengeance itself. Azrael's journey through grief and retribution encapsulates the saga's exploration of the themes of loss, the quest for justice, and the consuming nature of vengeance.

"It was a mistake..." She told her mother, folding her hands into each other. "Marrying him..." Her mother said nothing, she simply sat there as her only daughter stood across from her, on the verge of collapsing from bruised ribs and cracked shins. "Mom." She wanted to reach out, softly tap her aging mother. Though that was the restriction of her life. The binding stereotype that she was gentle and slow to anger. In reality, what wanted to explode from her ribs was a scream of an animal, and the tears of repressed rage and fear. She wanted to throw her body onto the floor, but the thought made her damaged body ache more. There was no response from her mother. The deafening silence reminded her of her own quietness as her husband shouted at her, his fists bloody. He told her that she was only a tool for his amusement and a money-whore for her indigent family. She was nothing else but a tool for both parties. And she was starting to believe him. --------------------- Sarah Johnsen's life spirals from the normal gritty resilient fight to a serene wonderland. On the outside, she's married to a kind family with untold riches, but on the inside, her husband is the devil himself. Forcefully married at 18, Sarah was forced to kill her own dreams of becoming a doctor in order to bind her poor family to the rich bastards of Glendale by marrying their youngest; Oliver Grean. Their arrangement had the ability to brew the largest timespan of misery any of them has ever known. From lost toddlers to paid staged kidnappings, the binding of the two families, the Johnsen's and the Grean's created a mixture of chaos, confusion, sorrow, fear, grief, and dangerous rage. And there seems to be no haven to escape to. Or is there? " She stuttered cutely. I chuckled. "Let me remind you. Your stomach will not be the only thing I will be staring at. There are so many places where I want to stare. For example, your pretty long legs, your creamy stomach, and your enticing blue eyes, small but cute nose, and your luscious lips which are, right now, begging me to kiss them, soft and hard, without letting you to breath." I said, whispering the last sentence in her ears, while she held on to my tunic tightly, as if she would fall, if she were to let go. "S-Stop." She said, softly, as I chuckled at her shyness. ••• Ranking: 27/08/2022 3# in King and Queen 13/10/2022 1# In king and queen 20/02/2023 5# In Goddess 11/06/2023 1# in King And Queen
