It was the princess' sixth nameday and she had not received a single word about it from her father. Alicent had been kind enough to send a new dress to her chambers and some of her personal maids had wished her a happy day but other than that, it was a normal day. No big feast for her like there would've been for Rhaenyra or even Aegon, no balls on her name or celebrations around town. If Velora didn't know any better, she would say the small-folk did not even know the day she had been born. But they knew. Velora knew they knew. Not because they cared much for her in particular, but small-folk or not everyone knew the day lovely Queen Aemma died; the day their Heir for a day died as well. Aemma quickly strikes up a kinship with Aemond Targaryen, both of them feeling like they don't fit in, dragonless, though their ambitions and dreams seem to erupt into fire that may burn both their heads off. Laena's parents agreed instantly, happy that their daughter will be queen. But someone tries to break that up, Rhaenyra because she has been in love with her brother since she could know what love was. "Hello, Laena. How are you today?" Aerion asks walking up to the girl. "I'm doing well. How about you, Aerion?" Laena asks. "I'm perfectly fine. Just missing my mother is all." Aerion said. Laena hugs him offering him comfort. He hugs back as a thanks. "I overheard our parents talking." Aerion starts as they stop hugging and continue to walk the gardens. "About?" Laena asks. "They are thinking about betrothing us together." Aerion answered. "We have to convince them to betroth us. I can't imagine marrying someone else." Laena said. "Oh please, Aerion. Convince our parents." "I will try. But would you like to see Nyxondra?" Aerion asks. "Yes!" Laena said happily, as the two walk to the Dragon Pit. Up above on a balcony watching them was Rhaenyra.
