Alerie Tyrell was not a stranger to the politics of Kings Landing, her own mother having grown up in the same environment. However, as the only daughter of the Tyrell family, and the relative of Alicent Hightower, Alerie had many things expected of her. All she truly wanted to do was sit in her gardens back home, basking in the sunlight. As she grows, an attachment to Jacaerys Velaryon appears, and she finds herself torn between one family and the other.
