Introduction High school was supposed to be predictable. At least, that's what Maxine Yves Ricalde thought. Her life ran like clockwork: classes, club meetings, cheer practice, and the occasional well-timed panic over an overdue assignment. Order was her religion, control was her weapon, and perfection... well, perfection was her middle name (almost). And then Heather Lim happened. Heather didn't just break rules-she makes them, wrote her own, and somehow looked cute while doing it. She was the volleyball team captain, a rockstar in sneakers, and, naturally, Maxine's ultimate nightmare. Where Maxine planned, Heather winged it. Where Maxine followed rules, Heather treated them like polite suggestions. Where Maxine wanted calm, Heather brought hurricanes. It was mutual dislike at first sight, which is what made it all the more hilarious when the school decided to force them together. The Spirit Week Cheer-Off Challenge was supposed to be fun. In reality, it was a ticking time bomb. Maxine and Heather had to co-lead, co-plan, and co-perform. Two opposites, one event, zero personal space. Maxine wanted order. Heather wanted chaos. Somehow, they were about to discover that clashing personalities make the loudest sparks... and sometimes, sparks turn into something dangerously adorable.
