In the aftermath of Jurassic World, Owen knows that neither Claire nor the kids will make it off the island without some kind of trauma. Even he wouldn't escape unscathed. But none of them knew how to deal with the feeling of waking up drenched in sweat after a vivid nightmare, with a ringing in your ears that leaves you disoriented and your chest on fire; they didn't know how to stay grounded when a flashback knocks them to the ground as the world around them goes up in flames. They didn't know that from now on their brains would never stop being hyper-vigilant to their surroundings.
They would cry, scream, and curse loudly, not understanding why the world felt so overwhelming. But he did. He'd been there, like so many other soldiers. That's why the best thing for all of them was for him to rub some dirt on it, get up, and move on-to be their rock and not let them sink. But if he was their rock, who would be his?
He may act unbreakable, but he knows it won't be long before his own walls come crashing down. For now, though, he'll be their anchor, even as his own strength begins to crumble.
"Her hateful gaze was all too familiar, almost a mirror when he saw past the crimson color, and slit pupils." Because we all know the scientists of Jurassic World had proven themselves incapable of exercising discipline when it came to temptations. Why would it be any different with creating the Indominus? Constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated!
