Kaila has been in a relationship with her high school sweetheart, Max, for five years. But Max has trouble controlling his emotions and fists and takes it out on Kaila which breaks them apart. The romance she reads makes her wish for another relationship. But she had Mia, her now ex-boyfriend's little sister, whom Kaila adopted so Mia wouldn't struggle. When Kaila goes out one day to get food for herself and the little one-year-old girl. she meets someone new. Will this new person help Kaila get back on her feet?
