An LGBTQ romance story about two girls who find each other during a post-apocalyptic America, and while on a mission to find refuge in a supposed 'Safe City' they find refuge in each other, discovering parts of their identity. Laura, 16 is suddenly injured and comes across Katy, 17, who nurses her back to health slowly, and the two form a friendship. Whilst Laura is open about being a Lesbian, Katy has only ever dated men before and has grown up in a strict Catholic family, and so these new feelings are very confusing for each other. This story covers internalised homophobia, is a coming of age and a wlw romance story.
