Benny Rodriguez and Adelaide Desmond, two classmates who initially couldn't see eye to eye. Benny thought Adelaide was just another brainy student with no interest in sports, while Adelaide saw Benny as an arrogant athlete.
But then, Adelaide's step-brother joined Benny's sandlot team, and everything changed. Adelaide started showing up to the games to support her brother, and she couldn't help but notice Benny's genuine love for the sport and his kindness towards the other kids. Benny, in turn, saw Adelaide's fierce protective side and her hidden sense of humor.
As they spent more time together at the sandlot, helping her brother practice and cheering on the team, their initial bad impressions melted away. They found common ground in their shared moments and discovered that they had more in common than they ever thought possible.
The best connections come from the most unlikely beginnings.

You're Such a Dream to Me{Benny x reader}
{Benny "the Jet" Rodriguez x reader} This is my first story so sorry if it's kind of trashy :D I've seen many Benny Fics that are not x reader so I decided to make one myself for you guys to enjoy ~Story takes place in the 90's~ "Before you speak don't move cause I don't wanna wake up.." You moved from Manhattan, New York to California(I know the sandlot is in Utah but In this story it will be in Cali)and met this group of guys that clearly play baseball. Personally you love baseball and softball and used to play for your school. You go outside to your yard and meet both Benny and Smalls. They ask if you'd like to play with the guys and you finally agreed. You then began to catch feelings for him and you come across a situation that brings you all together. Hope you like it :) I do not own the sandlot characters Completed✅ Highest placement: #2 bennyxreader #1 bennyxreaderKumpleto

The Jet and The Blaze
[Benny Rodriguez x Reader] "You know, I think red and blue go well together." ~~~~ Summer of '62 was hectic. After all, when two kids decide to want to play baseball, it seems to be the biggest joke of all time. Especially when a boy wants to play but can't, and because a girl playing baseball is simply taboo. After all, girls don't really play baseball. The boys at the sandlot didn't think Smalls could throw a ball for his life, nevertheless play baseball. But when a girl decides to challenge them and give them a run for their money... It changes things. Especially for Benny Rodriguez and the reader. ~~~~ Disclaimer: I do not own anything, not the characters, plot line, nor the songs used in this story. This is strictly for entertainment.Kumpleto
