Fifteen-year-old Adonis has spent his entire life afraid, afraid of the foster care system that raised him, and afraid of being labeled "weird" for the way he talks, moves, or sees the world. He's used to being alone, used to being misunderstood. But everything changes when he discovers he isn't alone after all he has a family. Four older brothers. One sister. They're strangers, but they welcome him with open arms... or at least, they try. Fitting in isn't easy, not when Adonis is used to hiding parts of himself just to survive. Starting a new school only makes things harder until he finds two surprising sources of comfort: the football field and his brother's best friend, who acts like he can't stand Adonis but never seems to leave him alone. Will Adonis finally learn to heal? Can he earn his siblings' trust and maybe even their love? Adonis has no idea. But for the first time in his life, he's ready to find out.
