"Hey, where are you going?"
"Are you blind, my dear husband?"
"Look, you can't go out at this hour, especially on our wedding night."
"Oh, hell no, mister. These pillows and blankets are for you."
"This is my room!"
"Excuse me?" exclaimed my newly wedded wife.
"I'm not going anywhere. This is my room."
"Okay, fine by me," she replied with a twisted smirk, walking toward me in her black dress. It covered her entire body, yet it was enough to tease me.
She stood in front of me, looping her left hand around my neck while the back of her right hand caressed my cheek. The little smirk on her face told me she was aware of the effect she had on me.
"If your mother asks me about my absence in YOUR room, I'll tell her how I had to find a private room since her son couldn't satisfy me enough."
I grabbed her by the waist, and in a minute, she landed on our bed with me hovering over her.
"I never knew I had a kinky husband." came the vixen's reply.
"Oh, you know nothing about me, sweetheart." I choked her neck in a firm yet gentle way, careful not to hurt my bride on our first night, while she lay there like the goddess she is. "Mind your words next time. And remember we're not supposed to meddle in each other's lives."
For a moment, I saw a flicker of hurt in her eyes before they returned to their cold gaze. In an instant, she flipped us around, and now she was laying on me.
"Mr. Dhruv Dhawan, you are my business, and I solely own you, legally and rightfully."
Of course, I was hers legally and rightfully. She had bargained for this marriage with her grandfather to save her parents' legacy, but it didn't make the sting of knowing I was part of her strategic move any less painful. This is The Bride's Bargain.
MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE
"You didn't trust me" Guilt wash over her when a tear cascades down his eye.
He is crying for the first time. She is the sole reason behind his tears.
"I am sorry" She lowers her eyes in shame.
He steps closer to her gripping her forearm with his left hand. A shiver rolled down her spine not due to their proximity but due to the tension vibrating between them.
She looks up and her heart crack in response as betrayal brims his eyes.
"You claimed to love me but you couldn't trust me. Is our love so fragile ?" His words cut through her soul.
The question felt like a mock. Question on their relationship. Question on her trust for him. Question on her lover for him.
"I trusted you with everything. I strip off my every layer for you. I bared my soul to you. You are the only one whom I allowed to do this and I get this in return. If this is what love feels like then I don't want it" He left arms with a jerk and heaved a sigh suppressing the anger bubbling inside him.
Hurt visible on his face and his voice held a mixture of anger and pain. She had never seen him this sad. This helpless. She hates to admit that she is the cause of it.
"Adhyan please don't---"
"You are,you were and you will be my responsibility. So there is no chance I will hurt you, it would be best If I go away "
