Dante Ventura discovers his ex-boyfriend, Reid, has been left at the altar by the man Dante set him up with. Despite attending the wedding to support Reid, they're quickly right back to where they ended, arguing about the past.

Reintroducing Reid to the vampire elite exposes Dante to as much peril as the other members of the Ventura family, as their parents' murderer and arch-nemesis move next door to tarnish Dante's reputation. But as Reid gains popularity, Dante gets a brilliant idea. In exchange for pretending to be Dante's partner, Dante offers his match-making help...But Dante quickly learns bringing Reid in was his worst mistake.

Preoccupied with battling siblings and enemies, Dante has no time for rekindling old flames or dealing with newfound rejection, no matter how much Reid still melts Dante's icy exterior. How can Dante support his family, who despise all his choices? Once their bargain ends, will he be able to let Reid go again?
