A doctor who fanfic, based on the episode 'Hell bent'.
When the doctor and Clara are separated, instead of the device working on the doctor it works on Clara, and although the doctor tries to leave her behind he finds that his destiny has a different idea, and when un heard of aliens invade New York, the doctor sees the impossible girl for who she really is.
Careful, not all is as it seams.
