Amara is Barry's younger half sister.

For her whole life, Amara lived with her mother. She is sent off to live with her older brother Barry when her mother dies.

While she settles down in Outer Banks, she forms a bond with her brother as well as the Pogue four. She crushes on JJ Maybank, who's also taken a liking to her!
