She doesn't know how the rebellion thinks she's going to stop them, just that a prophecy says so. Frankly, she would have joined them, if they weren't trying to kill her. She doesn't really want the soulmate, either--Suthi might be hot as a dragon's breath, but she's also one of the rebellion's assassins. And don't even get Della started on the boon--the gifts of the gods are usually given to great heroes who've accomplished incredible things, but she hasn't done anything. Yet.

Della wants to be the kind of hero that can earn a boon, she wants to escape Suthi and the rebellion, and she wants to prove that prophecy is bullshit.
