OBX // deleted scenes

This is a series of chapters that are of the same character- Lyla (you)- but they don't necessarily have a timeline order or link directly. They are all miscellaneous scenes that you can read when you don't have the patience for one big story :)

Lyla Monroe lives on the cut with her alcoholic mum who often neglects her and threatens her, sometimes even hits her. Her dad is in and out of prison but he does love her. Her mum doesn't really care what happens to her, as long as she keeps providing the money.
She has lived everywhere, including nowhere. She even stayed with the Camerons for a few months when Sarah found her sleeping rough and befriended her. She has gained a poor reputation with the cops for pickpocketing and stealing so that she can feed herself and her mum. Her mum solely relies on her to pay rent for their small bungalow as her mum can't seem to keep a job. Her mum got extremely angry with Ly for going on adventures with the pogues instead of working her 2 jobs.

She gets on well with all the pogues but in particular: JJ because they can relate to each other & they behave similarly, she feels JJ is the one who understands her most. Pope is her best friend, he can always calm her down and stop her making make stupid decisions, and Lyla always protects Pope. Sometimes she gets annoyed with Kie because of how she treats Pope and JJ and calls her out for it but other than that they have a good friendship. John B treats her like a little sister. She's also close with Sarah from when they lived together.

Lyla is a carefree person and does a lot of dangerous things because stupid things have good outcomes all the time. She has a temper which sometimes puts her in difficult situations which she usually manages to get out of. She immediately think of violence as the answer when things go wrong because she was brought up in a violent household. She will do anything for the pogues and stop at nothing to protect the people she loves.
