Legacy of Light: An Ultraman story

1966.

It is an age of rapid technological progress, geopolitical tensions and a vision for the future filled with collective hope in mankind's dream of achieving lasting peace. Yet peace would be unattainable as the optimism of the age was shattered by the appearance of Kaiju, giant beasts that seemed intent on destroying man and everything he represents.

The S.S.S.P. or Scientific Special Search Party was born as a response to these monstrous attacks and for a short while was able to stop many kaiju attacks leading to international celebration as kaiju after kaiju began to fall. Yet hope would be cut short as the kaiju adapted and became impossible to kill.

Just when all hope of stopping the kaiju was lost he appeared... The Giant of Light. Hailing from a world far beyond Earth the being that would come to be known as Ultraman dedicated his time on Earth to protecting humanity from the kaiju threat. Upon completing his mission the Giant from another world made the ultimate sacrifice, leaving Humanity at peace.

Yet peace would once again be shattered as a new threat from beyond the stars once again targets Earth in the modern day with the intent of claiming it for a nefarious purpose. With Earth on borrowed time a chance encounter between a young woman and a new Giant of light may prove to be the salvation humanity desperately needs as a war between light and darkness begins.
