Hayley Ruiz is a normal teenager trying to make her way through High School, and trying hard to avoid her demanding best friend, Kate Andres, who is planning to host her 18th birthday party. She say's she'll never forget it, the scary thing is, Kate might be telling the truth.

When everything is normal you know when things start to get crazy. Hayley on the other hand denies every deranged commodity that happens to her, even when the strong, overprotective mentor Zennedy West tells her otherwise. She starts to develop healing abilities, super strength, impeccable hearing and speeds so fast that she can out run any animal on the planet.

But the frightening thing is that she has unknown bonds she has yet to discover. Not only the bond between her elect and hunter, but a bond that wrestles to intoxicate and poison her mind with lust and want. But what does it want? And does she want it too? Or should I say, will she want him the way he wants her?

Definition of Elect: living cells forming into energy; charging particles with power from one anatomy to another - alternating between positive or negative charges of energy(Protector/Hunter).

I kind of got the idea of this book by Rachel craw's 'Spark'. It has kind of the same concept with the three groups of enhanced humans but I've put in my own plot/ideas etc. 

I highly recommend reading 'Spark' if you haven't - because WOW I love the book so much - just so much effort has been put into it and it's an incredible new and original YA novel. Also it's a trilogy and Rachel is so cool like seriously, check her out on Goodreads. (Also from NZ!).
