Finnick's voice was firm, each word sharpened by perseverance.
"How?" the young girl challenged, her tone tinged with desperation.
"You're out here, and I'm trapped in there."

Finnick's eyes swept over her, his mind racing to find a way to outsmart the system, break her free, and hide her away.
"Andrew-" he started, but she cut him off.

"He'd give his life for me, I know. But I'd do the same for him. When it comes down to it, it's a race to see who can throw themselves in front of the other first."
Her voice was steady, resolute.

Finnick's gaze lingered on her, troubled.
"You're too young to be so ready to die," he sighed, disappointment heavy in his words.
