Young Eleanor, the spirited daughter of a humble blacksmith, dreams of a life beyond the confines of her small village, shadowed by the ancient and mysterious Avalon Abbey. Her life is forever altered when she stumbles upon an ancient manuscript hinting at the lost relics of King Arthur. As political tensions rise with the impending crusade called by the king, Eleanor finds herself entangled in a web of intrigue, power struggles, and ancient prophecies.

Joining her in this quest is Geoffrey, a young and ambitious squire loyal to his knight, Sir William, who is deeply involved in the political games of the English court. Their destinies intertwine as they navigate through battles, betrayals, and the intricacies of court life, all while the elusive shadows of Avalon whisper of a prophecy that could change the course of history.

As Eleanor delves deeper into the mysteries of Avalon, she crosses paths with Lady Isolde, a noblewoman with a secret lineage tied to the legendary Order of the Dragon. Together, they uncover ancient secrets, face formidable adversaries, and strive to protect relics of immense power. Amidst the backdrop of historic events, like the signing of the Magna Carta and the myth of King Arthur, their journey becomes a tale of love, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of truth.

Sir Lancelot, his faithful First Knight. Guinevere, Arthur's promised bride. Garreth, her best friend and cousin, the son of Merlin (Myrddin), the great wizard. It sounds just like the Arthurian Legend, doesn't it? But... What if everything happened differently? What if the young Princess Guinevere was not so keen on marrying Prince Arthur, whom she met... when he came for a week-long sightseeing tour to her father's kingdom accompanied by dashing Sir Lancelot? What if she was... dressed as a knight, pretending to be a bodyguard hired for the visitors? And... What if it was 'a she', who was destined to pull the sword from the stone and thus unite the kingdoms? This is my version, a humorous retelling of the famous legend, a medieval fantasy- coming of age- romantic comedy. *This story is purposely historically innacurate, set in some parallel, fantastical Britain that is different from what it had really been in the past, even though I'm using real locations, historically confirmed battles, and the Saxons as enemies of my legendary King Arthur. Lira has lived her entire life as an outcast in the palace, under the cruel thumb of her stepmother, Queen Isolde, who rules the kingdom with an iron fist. Raised as an orphaned noble, Lira was told that her parents were mere servants who died when she was young. She has been repeatedly told that she has no power or potential. Her stepmother constantly belittles her, while her stepsister, Anya, delights in tormenting her at every opportunity. What Lira doesn't know is that she's the true heir to the throne-her real parents were the beloved king and queen, murdered by Isolde, their treacherous servant, who has claimed the crown for herself. To ensure Lira never threatens her reign, Isolde has kept her true identity hidden and has suppressed Lira's latent magical abilities, which would make her an unstoppable force. As Lira grows older, strange things begin to happen around her-faint whispers in the wind, flickering lights, and moments where time seems to stop. When a mysterious stranger arrives in the kingdom with knowledge of her past, Lira's world begins to unravel. Slowly, she starts to uncover the truth about her heritage, her powers, and the dark secret that could change the fate of the kingdom. But as she inches closer to discovering the truth, Isolde tightens her grip on the throne, sending her loyal followers to silence Lira forever. With her magic awakening and enemies closing in, Lira must decide whether to fight for her rightful place as queen-or let the darkness consume her before she ever has a chance to reclaim the crown.

Growing up as an apprentice healer in the castle, Ilia loved listening to the stories the knight-mages told. Tales of valour and glory, adventures in the wilderness, things she'd never see while she's trapped behind the stone walls. When knights show up with wounds from battle, and Ilia has new visions and nightmares, her powers flare wildly. What's happening to her? Dragons are rare. When word reaches the castle that a dragon was slaughtered, her life is changed forever. Ilia feels something pulling at her inside. She must help. What can a mere student do when the best Knight-mages are already out there, seeking the last dragons to protect them? With her powers acting up, can she trust what she feels? With nothing more than feelings to go on, Ilia leaves the safety of the castle, the only place she's ever known. Can she find and protect dragons before it's too late? Are her powers tied to the dragons somehow? If so, what happens if the last dragon dies? Will she die, too?
