MYCROFT HOLMES had a horrible past. One he knew that would catch up to him later on. It didn't stop him from protecting his brother and his friends, though. Or from going to work. His mind was brilliant (often telling Sherlock he was the smarter one), and he considered himself lucky that he had even got a job in the government. But he was happy there. The only problem with being brilliant? The lack of knowledge of emotions (especially his own) and friendship. Who'd want to be his friend, anyways?

KHRYSTOPHER KANE likes to be invisible. He often finds comfort in the shadows and dabbling into the unknown. He also enjoys a good fighting challenge, and so joined the royal service to protect and serve to the best of his ability. It was also the perfect cover to watch a certain government official from afar (and no, Khrys does NOT think this is one sided pining). Despite being known to call people out on their mistakes, Khrys is rather shy. So, imagine being assigned to work with the most intelligent and dangerous man who doesn't know he has your heart in his hands
