Vera Acosta was a name to be feared by the evil that roam the streets. The police consider her a villain. She considers herself an anti-hero. Aaron Hotchner doesn't know what to think of her. She is chilling, a shadow that serves justice, in her own way. She was never threatening to children or law enforcement, but she brutally tortured and murdered the scum of the Earth. That was the catch.
Even with all that being said, she intrigues the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI. She helps them from the shadows, her identity hidden from the rest of the world. Some of the team is wary of her, others want her officially on the team. Aaron Hotchner wants her on his team.
