Apocrypha: An American Tale
In a distant future, the US has fallen under the control of a theocratic regime. Imposing its religious rules on the country, the US, once the land of free, has become anything but. Among those living in the ruling class is Gabriel Barrington-Washington, future President of the United States. His life could not be anymore privileged.
That is, until, Gabriel is caught in controversy. His biggest crime: Being with a man. Now on the run, Gabriel is forced to come face-to-face with the true American life and those who suffer under the regime. His journey of self-discovery is joined by Lysander, a man who Gabriel happens to run into.
But as Gabriel falls deeper in love with Lysander and begins to question his beliefs, he brings to feel as if he is betraying the same religion that has scorn him. And it will not be an easy journey for him.
