Lost In The Mails

Ruth suspects that somebody is always after her. She couldn't exactly tell whether it was her imagination or if she had some crazy stalker obsessing over her. It just don't make any sense. After losing her family from a car accident, she nearly ended her own life. Attempted to, but was rescued by a family friend in time. They took her in, as if, their own, very kindly so. Ruth had home, a new family, but never felt like she belonged- then used to. That was when she decided to have a fresh start. Her foster parents, although sad, have respected her decision nonetheless.

She moved to Massachusetts, and stayed at their old house.

The first couple of days were almost perfect. It's what she wanted so badly. However, something strange came up. One morning, by the door, a mail was lying on the floor.

Confused, she crouched down, picking it up from the floor, and read what's inside shortly after. Once finished, she smiled absentmindedly. It was a lovely letter from a neighbor, welcoming her.

She thought it was sweet.

Until after, she kept receiving more in the following days, each containing disturbing confessions.

Ruth was beginning to panic, and her mind was lost in the mails.
