It was a dark and stormy night in the forgotten city of Ashwick. An eleven-year-old German girl named Jessica Ludwig, who is an orphan adopted by a rich couple, finds a mysterious note tucked into her bag, telling her to come to the Celcet Downs at exactly midnight years later. When she gets there, a stranger tells her about the world that she never knew, which included her parents. The stranger tells Jessica that Ashwick's destiny is in her hands, and that a corporation is working to destroy all forgotten cities in Germany. The strange person vanishes, leaving a stopwatch, a rose, and a map.
