Callie faith was just an ordinary bookworm, always had her face in a book, if not that, eyes closed, resting, dreaming only of what dreams could bring to life. the seventeen year old found nothing better to do in her free time except to live multiple lives. to her, the real world didn't exist, only the world's other's created did, and that was all that mattered to her. Callie wasn't irresponsible, but she didn't have the mindset she needed yet, either.
Callie needed to wake up, and learn to live in the real world, she didn't have much time to prepare for the "adult life" since this was her last year in high school, the year was ending quickly, and she had yet to learn that living in a false reality all of the time just wasn't going to work. She had this certain mindset that nothing, or no one, could make her wake up, could make her give up her easy, false life, for a hard, but worth living one. That was until Cassie suddenly found a letter in a book addressed to anyone interested in a book club pal, she wrote back, and there it started, as they wrote to each other, Callie started to slowly learn that the real world, was indeed worth living in, and that her life was only just beginning.
her mother always told her stories that every person has their own golden star. our little rays of hope that always shine. no matter how far away we always see their glow. as a little child she always believed in this until her life drastically changed.
