A young woman of Spanish descent, Zaira Soleil moves to Los Angeles at the end of May, determined to achieve her dream and secure a better future for her younger sister. Raised in a family that always denied them opportunities, Zaira is ready to do whatever it takes to change their fate.
However, Los Angeles turns out to be a city full of contrasts. Exclusive parties, glittering clubs, the shadows of the local mafia, and the fast-paced lifestyle overwhelm her, but Zaira remains undeterred. She is determined to stay true to her goals, no matter what.
A series of bizarre encounters leads her to meet Michael Kenneth, the eldest son of one of the city's most influential and controversial families. Michael is accustomed to a life of excess: vices, wild parties, illegal street racing, and luxury shopping. His existence is far from Zaira's dreams.
At first, there's an immediate clash between the two. Zaira sees everything she despises in Michael: superficiality, arrogance, and resignation to a predetermined fate. Michael, on the other hand, is irritated by Zaira's determined attitude and stubbornness, which seems immune to the allure of his gilded world.
However, the scorching Californian sun and nights under the stars allow them to lower their defenses. Their relationship develops under the blazing summer sun, marked by revealed secrets and hard-won trust. But summer is short, and with it, their bond might fade. As the season draws to a close, Zaira and Michael face a choice: let the summer take their memories away or fight to keep them alive. The answer will come with the last gentle summer breeze, the final thin line of sunset.
Are you ready to fall in love with them and live every moment until the last evening?
"Why, Michy, does your pretty mouth only move to insult me?"
"Why, Ira, would you rather it be busy doing something else to you?"
"Careful, little Ira."

Gabe stalks towards me, and I back away until my back hits his door. He puts both his hands up against the door trapping me.
"Admit it Skylar, you feel something between us," he purrs.
"N-no I don't," I lie.
"Your lying," he calls me out. "And now that I know there's a chance, I'm not letting go of you that easy."
"W-what is that supposed to mean?"
"It means my baby brother better watch his back, cause he now has competition."
"You're crazy," I look at him in disbelief.
"Crazy for you," he breaths against my mouth.
He catches me off guard by wrapping his hand around the back of my neck and pulls me into him, crashing his lips to mine. He tongue gets access to mine and he presses his body against me, making it harder for me to break free.
No way, I'm not giving in this time.
I push him off of me and slap him across the face.
"Stay away from me!" I shout, and storm out of his bedroom.
I run out the house, and thank god he doesn't follow me. Once I feel like I'm far enough I stop and take a breath.
What the hell is happening? How could everything go so wrong and so upside down in just a couple of days. I came here for a distraction, to get away from my broken family; not to be stuck in some twisted telenovela.
And the worst part . . . I know this is only the beginning.
