Hot shot is five years old he lives with his father Heatwave and his mother Quickshadow. They live in Houston Texas. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric cardiologist. Hot shot is a very playful and happy child. He has loved to play games and sports but he finds it hard to run and play like he wants to. It has been that way for a while it wasn't that noticeable until now. His parents take him to his pediatrician. Who sends them to see a pediatric cardiologist at Texas children's hospital. There Hot shot is diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. A heart defect that rarely goes undiagnosed at birth but it happens. Now Hot shot needs surgery and special care. Hot shot meets four other kids his age who were also just diagnosed with the same defect. Hot shot and his new friends are now ready to be brave heart warriors! (Humanized)

Heatwave and Quickshadow are a happily married couple and they live in Fort Worth Texas. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist who works at Cook Children's hospital. They are happy with their life and soon they have a son. They name him Hot shot. They love Hot shot very much. Hot shot is growing into a very happy and active child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is now five years old. Hot shot soon begins to feel unwell in May. Hot shot is wondering why he is feeling so bad. He has a headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he is tired, he is walking funny, he is loosing coordination, he is falling down a lot, and he has a head tilt. He is feeling so bad one night his parents rush him to the ER of Cook Children's hospital. There Hot shot is admitted for being sick and was in a lot of pain. A hospitalist who is caring for Hot shot is worried and decides a scan is needed. The next morning she sends Hot shot to get an MRI. Then Hot shot is discovered to have a brain tumor. The brain tumor gets a biopsy sample. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight his cancer. He makes friends with seven other kids in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt. (Humanized)

Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a Pediatric nurse who works at Cook Children's Hospital. Hot shot lives a very normal life with his parents. Hot shot loves to run jump climb and play. Hot shot is a very happy and healthy child. Hot shot is kind, honest, loving, and generous he has a big heart. He soon starts to feel unwell. Hot shot has a really bad headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he is tired all the time, and he is cranky. Hot shot is feeling so bad one day his parents take him to Cook Children's hospital ER that afternoon. Hot shot gets an immediate MRI. The MRI reveals a brain tumor. The doctors get a good size piece of the tumor with a biopsy. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with choroid plexus carcinoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face his cancer head on. At the hospital Hot shot make friends with four other kids with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together and become the best of friends. Hot shot is determined to be his cancer fire. (Humanized)
