Amy has always had a thing for Sonic since second grade. Even when he transitioned a couple years back, her feelings didn't change, so of course these feelings would have some conflict with his relationship with Shadow.
Up until recently, she's been supportive. She believed that truly loving someone meant wanting them to be happy, even if that meant them being with someone who isn't you. But what happens when those feelings change and she becomes more envious? What happens when you give into your darkest desires?
