Shepherds watch over their sheep. They protect them, making sure they are safe.
There was a shepherd who watched over his sheep. He made sure that they remained safe and happy in the rye fields. Most importantly, he made sure that they never went too near to the edge of the cliff, where an abyss of darkness plunged deep to the point of no return. This shepherd did this everyday-from the moment he woke up until he went to sleep. He did not mind this idyllic lifestyle; in fact, he preferred it to anything else. It was safe, comforting, and an easy job.
When he notices a sheep has gone too close to the edge, he immediately goes to the rescue, only it does not seem to want to be saved. It only gets personal when his younger sister is the innocent sheep.
