He pleaded, his voice cracking with despair. Tears streamed down his face as he dropped to his knees, clutching at the air as if trying to grasp the fleeting fragments of her presence.

In a world where magic is everything and humans are considered tragic beings, born without any magical abilities and belittled for it, young Emilia's life took a tragic turn when she was separated from her parents and captured by faeries. Forced to serve as a maid in the king's palace, she did everything in her power to remain invisible, avoiding the cruel whims of those around her.

One day, her efforts to blend in failed when the king's seventh son, a dangerously handsome and charismatic prince, became inexplicably fixated on her. As his attention grew more intense and dangerous, Emilia feared she would become his plaything, trapped in a life of misery.

Just when hope seemed lost, a mysterious wizard approached her with a dangerous offer: a chance to escape the palace and reclaim her freedom, but at a steep cost. Emilia must decide whether to accept the wizard's bargain and face the unknown, or to remain in the palace, forever at the mercy of the prince's desires.

"What in the Midlands was that?" Brandon asked in shock. "I don't know," Celine answered concerned. "Something very strange is going on. I feel like I need to go into the woods! There's something I need to do in the woods!" she said as she rode over to the side of the road and dismounted, running into the Royal Pine Forest as Brandon called after her to wait. He quickly dismounted and swiftly lead his horse over to Celine's, taking its reins and tying both horses to a tree before going after her. "Celine! Wait!" he called after her as he realized that he could hear a very low humming noise coming from within the woods. "Maybe she's following the noise," he thought as he began to follow it to find where it was coming from and hopefully locate Celine. He pushed through the underbrush as the sound became louder and then he saw Celine standing in front of a whirling, shimmering vortex which was floating about four feet above the forest floor. There was a myriad of different types of strange looking creatures coming out of it and Brandon stood there in disbelief at what he was seeing.
