Be a Man is a collection of 21 poems exploring masculinity through the eyes of a gay man discovering what manhood means to him.
From hairy chests and beer bellies to first love, male friendship, sexuality, religion, mythology, basketball, gold chains, hoodies, and superheroes, these poems celebrate the many ways masculinity can be expressed-and challenge the idea that being a man requires becoming someone you're not.
Be strong. Be courageous. Be loving. Be yourself.
Because being a man isn't about fitting into someone else's definition of masculinity.
It's about becoming the man you choose to be.
