Brother Ray stumbles across Lana and Sandor at their lowest, bringing them back to his commune to help nurse Sandor back to health. While their relationship is strained, they slowly begin acclimating to the new lifestyle of Ray and his settlement, learning more about themselves and each other while trying to change for the good.
When the settlement is destroyed, they are thrown back into chaos, but together they face the perils of Winter as they try to keep each other safe.
