Modern AU CaitVi (from Arcane) fanfic Caitlyn Kiramman has been playing volleyball since before she could talk. It's her past, present, and future. It's her senior year at Piltover Academy, and she needs to make sure that it's her best. As team captain, she has the opportunity to build a team that will sweep the competition and make her mother proud. She can't afford any distractions. Violet Lane, Vi, is a girl with a chip on her shoulder. There are only two things in life that she cares about: volleyball and her family. She has never been good at making friends, but it will be even harder now that she is being forced to transfer to Piltover Academy for her senior year of high school. Not only will she be the new kid at school, but she will also have to attend a school full of snobby wealthy kids who will look down on her. Caitlyn and Vi are not a good pairing, but their love for their sports has forced them together. Will Caitlyn be able to shape Vi into the player that she needs on her team in order to reach her dream? Could she somehow chip away at the walls that Vi has up? Could it maybe lead to more? CaitVi (from Netflix's Arcane) Modern AU Violet Lane, Vi, is a self-made woman who has been supporting herself and her sister for years. She is used to taking care of people. In fact, she loves it. The LGBTQ+ community center that she runs in the Undercity District of Piltover is the one place where she finds purpose. Now, she struggles to keep the doors open as their funding grows insufficient and business people try to get her to vacate the space. Caitlyn Kiramman has grown up as a part of the wealthiest and most influential families in the Topside District of Piltover. Her whole life has been planned out. She graduated from Piltover University, joined the family real estate business, and is now on a steady path to take over for her mother as head of the family business when she retires. She just needs to prove herself. When Caitlyn is sent to charm the head of one of the Undercity's community centers into closing their doors, her resolve is tested when she finds herself desperately attracted to the pink-haired woman that she meets, who happens to be Vi. Will the two women be able to keep the fire going between them while the true reason for Caitlyn's arrival threatens to blow it out? After a horrific accident involving the death of her entire family, Zephyra Ashcroft was taken away to Stillwater prison at the young age of fourteen. She didn't mean to set the house ablaze, she didn't even know how it happened. All she knew was that her brother played a cruel prank, and she was so angry that her fist exploded into fire. She would spend the next seven years of her life in an isolated concrete cell, unable to socialize, hone in her abilities, or even so much as read a book. One day, a strange man came to bail her out. He taught her about her powers, told her the history of her heritage, and finally, laid a heavy burden on her that would change her life forever. --- A fighting spirit with little to live for, Vi was bailed out of Stillwater Prison general population by an Enforcer named Caitlyn. Caitlyn & Vi: The Void to Fill (an Arcane Season 2 Story)
I threw my arm around her. Then lightly grabbed her face as she had done mine before, "shhhh, it'll be ok, I've got you ..." I whispered. I didn't let go... Cover art adapted from @trixdraws and @saskia Starting where Arcane season 1 (Netflix/Riot) left off. We see a romantic take on possible events with Caitlin and Vi after Jinx hurled her rocket at Piltover. Although this follows Caitlyn and Vi closely there's a lot of story development as well that I'm having fun with. Noxus, Zaun... culminating in a massive battle... I loved Arcane. It left off too soon, so I couldn't wait to write a story based on the series. The animations, music and storytelling coupled with emotion from every character was astounding. I'm excited to see the masterful art Riot will have in store for next season. But while we wait here's something to chew on... I'd say this is mature YA (a bit of language) nothing too explicit here. Absolutely loved this series and cannon from the League of Legends world. I may have started playing LoL before it officially launched in 2009 I personally see myself in the 3 protagonists Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx. Sharing a lot of their strengths and weaknesses. Freakin love their complexities and want to dive into them more. Please comment, provide, feedback, and share. I'd love to know what you think. * I do not own any of the art or characters.
