Oaklyn felt a deep sense of unease knowing that, despite the passage of many years, thoughts of him still lingered in her mind. She made a conscious effort to steer clear of the possibility of crossing paths with him again, yet couldn't escape the nagging question of whether he would even recognize her if they did meet. The resentment she held towards him was profound, stemming from the anguish of him shattering her soul and then departing with somebody else.
