Nuclear physicist, genetic engineer, social influencer, and billionaire Gale Herald has a vision for the future of the human species. He has hand-picked a few choice specimens of the human race, bred them or stolen their children, and raised them in a private compound in Norway. Curated into a religious cult based on his own ethical principles, the Omen have been entirely protected from the outside world. To allow them to survive the collapse of modern civilization, (which he is orchestrating,) he built a series of secluded self-sustaining garden domes in the mountains of Colorado in which to install his perfect utopian society. But when the Norwegian military forces Gale out of the country and he is forced to move his pet project sooner than expected, and the domes aren't completed, the community must be temporarily housed in an abandoned summer camp in upstate New York. Follow Lars, Gale's assistant in charge of moving the Omen, and Adam, the head of the Omen community, as they try to navigate this unexpected transition from one reality to another, and what happens when Adam gets separated from the community and lost in modern civilization.

In one year, one million people across New Jersey die--and no one knows why. At the same time, thousands of people develop supernatural abilities and no one knows why--not even these new "subhumans". Some can fly, some can read minds, and some can bend steel with their bare hands. Kat Jamison wakes up one day with her right hand turned to steel and the ability to morph it into anything she thinks of, from keys to knives. While the power is fascinating, having been abused by every person she's been with, the metal hand makes her feel like another object to be used. Several blocks away from Kat, Kyle Mills and Beth Ryder, high school sophomores, discover that they can run faster than the speed of sound and struggle to keep their powers a secret. Thinking these new subhumans are terrorists, the military hunts and guns them down. One subhuman named Eli Hunter rescues Kat from a group of trained killers then leads her on the run. They escape into Manhattan with Kyle, Beth, and other subhuman refugees where they think they'll be safe. While there, they discover a genetics lab that has been leaking GMO's to the public that may be linked to their powers and make plans on breaking in to find answers. But Kat has learned to never trust anyone and is convinced she can protect herself while the rest of the world is falling apart. Kyle wants revenge on the ones killing them, Eli wants to know where his powers have come from, and Kat only wants to be normal again. With soldiers after them and mad scientists waiting for them inside the lab, they may not make it through this alive, let alone find the answers they're looking for. After years of drifting in the vastness of space aboard the Arc, humanity's last refuge is on the brink of collapse. The oxygen supply is dwindling, and with no other options left, a desperate decision is made: to return to Earth-a planet long abandoned after a cataclysmic solar apocalypse scorched its surface and altered its environment forever. A small group of survivors, led by former officers, scientists, and civilians, descend to Earth, each bringing unique skills and haunted pasts. They find a world both familiar and terrifyingly new. The sun's relentless radiation has twisted the landscape into something wild and unpredictable, while the remnants of humanity, now known as "grounders," have adapted in brutal ways to survive. Thrown into this unforgiving world, the group must navigate the dangers of their new home, from violent grounder tribes who see them as invaders to the scorched earth that seems intent on swallowing them whole. They face limited resources, hostile terrain, and their own inner demons as they fight not only to survive, but to build a future on this desolate planet. With tensions rising, secrets from the Arc threaten to tear the group apart just when they need unity the most. In the chaos of survival, they must decide what kind of world they will build amidst the echoes of the past-and whether they can hold onto their humanity in the process. Echoes of Survival is a gripping tale of resilience, sacrifice, and the relentless will to live in a world where everything is fighting to keep you down.
