Alicent Hightower used to say that her daughter Maegelle was sent to her as a true angel by the Seven themselves. With slightly plump, rosy cheeks, delicate features and raspberry lips, the girl could charm anyone as soon as she blinked her purple-lilac eyes.
Even Rhaenyra, although she shunned the presence of her former friend's children, could not deny the true charm of her younger half-sister. Dubbed the Fair Lady, Maegelle carried around her an aura of gentleness and angelic charm that made even the hardest hearts melt in her presence. Her gentleness and love for all living things seemed almost unreal in the cruel world around her.
Raised to be an exemplary and well-to-do young lady, Maegelle was considered an example of an ideal princess. Everyone, from the servants to all the nobles of the great houses, considered her to be a true angel walking on earth. Everyone, except her brother Aemond.
Aemond didn't know what he disliked more about his sister. Was it because she was so perfect and adored by everyone, even their father Viserys, who, apart from his firstborn daughter and Maegelle, paid no attention to the rest of his children? Or the fact that he was the only one among his siblings who didn't have a dragon?
Fate is often unpredictable. One moment everything may seem certain, and the next it can all change. However, one thing was certain. When one of the dragons roared loudly, the rest joined in, spinning in a dance.

Aemond Targaryen/ Original female character House of the dragon Aemond Targaryen, the one eyed prince is in need of a marriage to further secure the family position, and pacify his chaotic heart. Alicent, begins the search and it seems like a proposal in the dornish might be in mind, but things might not go as planed, as the dornish woman that seems to speak to his heart is not the one that was originally meant for him. Troupes in this story: (minor spoilers) Choosing between two women, between what is expected versus what love commands, themes of arranged marriage, slow romance. It's not just a sickfic/sick character study only, but it will have major moments and full chapters where Aemond will be taken care of, specially by the main female, and it's a crucial point in the story, so it fits the sickfick/whump category. Note: This fic is written inside HOTD world, using some information from the book Fire and Blood as well, but is doesn't follow the canon. In this universe Rhaenyra gave up her claim, and Aegon will be crowned king. The story centers more in the greens, specially Aemond, but it will explore original characters.
