After Elena dies from a rare form of leukemia, there is nothing left for Damon to hang on to, so he turns himself back to a vampire, gets rid of his humanity once and for all, and lives in darkness. It is sometime later when Bonnie meets him, only the face of this monster with no humanity. Is there any left from that Damon, her best friend?
