Feelings aren't real. They're a manifestation of the human mind. It is impossible to feel. It's not real. Only those with a superior mind set are smart enough to realise and understand this.
Ashley knew she was one of those with this capability. 
She knew she was different. 
She had never felt empathy, compassion or happiness. The only thing she has ever felt was Wrath, and Woe. 
Wrath being her impulses, the only plausible explanation for them being the emotion of anger. 
Woe being her guilt, and sadness. Her explanation for that being weakness, her humanity growing through the cracks of her concrete flatlining emotions. She did what she could to fight it. Nothing could change the way she was.
